Restored Photo

This is a photo of three army soldiers that I restored. This picture used to have what looked like tears in the photo, but I used the clone stamp tool in photoshop to get rid of the rips and blend them to make it look like they where never there. I didn't save the original photo, I just uploaded it right to photoshop, so I don't have a before and after to show you all that I have done to this picture so I hope you take my word for it that I did work on it. I am pretty happy with this photo, my only problem would be the nose on the guy standing up in the middle. The reason for this is it was harder than the rest of the photo because it had more shadows, so it kind of looks weird, but overall I think I did a good job on this photo.

Overall I am happy with the results of my pictures. First I started a completely different picture, something that was pretty complicated (which I thought I could do but I would later realize that I couldn't). Once I realized that I couldn't do that picture I made a couple of cool random designs, and that's where I got the idea to make the first picture (the red one with the green target). For that picture I first made the background a gradient with the colours red and black. After that I put the big target in the middle, the reason I made the target so big is so it's not just a background image. I made the target light green is because it went well with the dark colours. For the second picture I first made the background a gradient using the colours light blue and black. The reason I used these colours was that I knew I was going to use a snow flake so i wanted to use that blue to symbolize winter and the black just went well with the blue. I made the snowflake white because again I wanted to symbolize winter and it wouldn't make much sense to make a red snowflake.

The first thing I did for this picture was pick a background, at first I picked a background of a desert, but after a while I didn't like that background, so I cropped it and picked this picture. I picked this background because it looked cool and different. The next thing I did was get the egg, clock and a street lamp and put them in the background. I than put the clock in the top right in up there then used the tool "overlay" to blend it in with the sky. after that I merged the clock and the egg together, than I started to play around with tools and started placing things in different. I put the street lamp in the bottom right corner and made it so it was falling over, but than you opened my eyes to the fact that it wasn't that good there so i cropped that one and put the new one in there. After that I put the egg clock in front of the moon so it is glowing behind it, and finally i played around with everything else until it looked like i does now.

Andy Warhol silk screen

The first thing I did for this project was I picked this picture of me off of facebook. I picked this picture because I thought the pose was a good look for this project and I knew I could do allot with it. next I cropped out the background and the pen I was holding, I cropped out the pen because it would have been to hard to colour all of the shadows and my picture looked bad with it. next I made all of the layers including my sweater, hair, hands ect. Next I picked out my colours, which were: yellow, dark blue, light blue, and dark green. I picked these colours because I wanted a good combination of light and dark colours. For the most part I am happy with my work, except for the one on the top right because I find it to dark.

My advent poster is, I think, very original. I used a picture of the inside of St. Joses
church at the alter on an angle so it is showing the cross and the stained glass windows as well.
When I first put it on the computer I didn’t like it in colour, so I changed it to black and white. I
tried to makethe writing really stand out, but in white you couldn’t really see the writing, so I
changed it to red. I also changed the font of the writing from just regular to cursive writing so it
looks more artistic. I then put the bible passage in my poster, I kept it the same as the title (red
writing and cursive font), but the background didn’t stand out enough, so I changed the filter to
sumi-e and that really made the picture look better, especially the stain glass windows because
the brightness of the sun really made the cross look brighter and made it stand out more. I saw
the writing was kind of hard to read so I made the font a little bigger and moved it away from the
bright spots. I then put the writing of the bible passage on an angle and I thought I was done, but
Mrs. Reidel suggested to me that I take out the microphone, so I did that and I was finished. I amhappy with my results and I did what I was aiming for, which was a poster that catches the eye of  people walking by it.

after
Before
First for this picture I took a picture of some lockers on an angle leading to the end of the hallway, (the focal point is the end of the doors at the end of the hallway) then i put the picture on the computer and changed it to black and white. Then I went to filter and clicked on filter gallery, then clicked on the effect sumi-e. Then i cut out some of the picture on the left hand side because i didn't look good with the picture. I am happy with the results because i like the effects i used and i like how the lockers lead to the focal point of the picture. (for the before picture i changed it to black and white by accident and couldn't change it back)
After

First I took this picture outside of the school on an angle. Then i put it on the computer in colour, then changed it to black and white. Then i went to filter and clicked filter gallery. Then I went to glowing edges and made the edges a bit wider. I am pretty happy with my results because i like the filter tool that i used.

New Kid

This new student at school is a combination of Paul, Aaron and Bobby. The eyes were taken from Aaron's head and replaced Paul's. The mouth was taken off of Bobby's face and placed on Paul's. The head and body are both Paul's. I changed Paul's hair colour from brown to red.
