The Notice Board

This picture took some time and a lot of planing and picture taking. The first thing I did was look for things to take pictures, which was unsuccessful the first day, but the next day I found the notice board outside the arts center and thought it would make an interesting picture to turn into cubes, and I think I was right (but that’s not for me to decide). I than uploaded the picture to my computer and cropped out the sides. I cut the sides out because it didn’t add anything to the picture and it drew attention away from the main focal point (the notice board). Than I turned the board into cubes with a black lining around it because I think it made look like it was pasted on. Finally I added black outline to the remaining white in the picture than blurred the outside of the board because it drew more attention towards the focal point. I am happy with the overall result of my picture.

Multicultural Poster

This image took some work and a lot of thinking. At first I made a bunch of different skin coloured hands wrapped around the world to represent that we need all races to keep the world up. But I couldn’t use it because it was copyright, so I made a new picture of a dove with the flags of the world for feathers and the world tied to a rope in the doves mouth in space. This picture represents that all of the worlds races is that bird and we should all learn to get along and be as peaceful as a dove.

Sunrise

This picture took some time and it was a lot of work. At first I wanted to make a guy writing on a peace of paper, but that didn’t really work out, so I started looking on the internet for some ideas and I came across a picture similar to this one, but with no people and it was at night. I decided to make a sunrise because a sunrise represents creativity and I thought it fit well with this assignment. The reason I made the sunrise those colours is because that is what a sunrise looks like and I thought it went well with the rest of the picture. The reason I put a hill there is because it looked weird just as flat ground, so I tried to put a hill in and I thought it looked better. I put a tree in because I thought it balanced out the picture. There are people in the picture because I wanted to make it look like that they were deep in thought as the sun rises on them. I put the hill, tree and the people all black because the light of a new day of thoughts and expressions hasn’t hit them yet, but it is close enough to cast a shadow. Overall I am happy with this picture, but I think if I had a bit more time I could have made it better.
